Growing up I would go on Boy Scout campouts and have traditional dutch oven potatoes. We would add hamburger meat and onions. My dad said we should take dutch oven potatoes to the next level. He found a recipe from a friend and we modified it. Now we have the perfect cheese potatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon Cut Up
- 1 pound Sausage
- 12 oz Frozen Chopped Onions
- 5 pound Potatoes Sliced Up
- 16 oz Velveta Cheese
- 2 sticks Butter
- 1 oz Mt Dew Do not use diet

Instructions
- Cut up bacon and potatoes
- Place Dutch Oven on hot coals or on low flame camp chef. Cook bacon and add sausage when bacon is almost cooked
- Once bacon and sausage is cooked add the bag of frozen chopped onions. Mix around.
- Add potatoes and mix with bacon, sausage, and onions.
- Place lid on Dutch Oven and let cook for 15 - 20 minutes or until potatoes are almost cooked.
- Chop the butter and velveta cheese in to smaller chunks and place on top of potatoes. Then pour the Mt Dew on top. Put lid back on for 5 minutes or until cheese and butter has melted.
- Let sit for 5 minutes
- Enjoy!
